…and Friday, Saturday, Sunday…and everyday! With this Thursday post I am sharing the joy with Meri and others who are on a campaign (or as Abraham would say…a rampage) of joy.
Today you are You, that is truer than true, There is no one alive who is Youer than You.
Dr. Seuss
Today I am grateful for the uniqueness of life…of my life…just like these Fritilaria blossoms with the sweet little checkerboard pattern all over their petals. There have been times in my life…for most of it in fact…that I’ve not been too happy about the fact that I always felt so different from everyone else. When we’re younger, we want to fit in, blend in and be the same as those around us. We become amazingly adept at morphing and covering up those difference but in the process, we often end up forgetting who we really are…and ironically it’s our uniqueness that is actually our most precious gift to the world.
Our lives become an often painful process of peeling away the layers to remember and to find our true essence. That beautiful and utterly precious essence of each of us…and not just find it, but love it (ahh…now there’s the crunch!).
So, do you have checkerboard patterns rather than monochrome? Are you rose madder when everyone else is red? Are you triangular when everyone else looks round? Well let me tell you…you should see my Caribbean blue and lemon yellow, polka dotted hexagon!
Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.

I love the idea of unfolding my own myth!
