What do you do each day that doesn’t contribute to your writing — and can you eliminate it?
(Author: Leo Babauta)
I love to write and it often feels that it’s the one way that I’m able to truly express myself. I write here and in a journal but haven’t done any creative writing (yet). A lack of focus is the main thing that keeps me from writing…there are just too many creative ideas whirling around in my head and in my life that distract me from focusing on ONE of them. I’ve thought about this a lot and have finally come to the conclusion that there’s really no reason for me to focus on just one interest. Maybe I’ll never have just one passion…and at the moment I'm OK with that.
Do any of you vascilate between interests and feel guilty that you can’t focus on just one?
Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.

Wishing you all many interesting blessings! (that sounds a bit like a Chinese curse!)
(the photograph above was taken while flying between Victoria and San Fransisco. The mountain top on the left is Mt. Baker and the one in the distance on the right, Mt. Rainier…both are volcanic)
OH yes! I often feel like I have too many interests on my plate and I do feel guilty if one is being neglected for any length of time. Sometimes, it's hard to work out my priorities because I feel like they are all deserving.
A magnificent photo, Kate!

I've experienced that too. I've always chastised myself for a lack of Commitment though ~ like I can't see some things all the way through to the end.
And sometimes, I wonder if my issues may actually be with Closure.
Either way, I am my greatest stumbling block to desired ends ...
