My home is in Hawaii…right on the ocean shore…
where I paint like this with bright colours,
in my sun drenched studio.
I have another home in Provence, in France
very near to here…where I often walk (wouldn’t you?),
and we often zip on down to our place on the Amalfi coast in Italy to catch the sea breezes. Oh how I love Italy! I can picture you and I sitting on those white chairs sipping a cool drink, can you?
Whenever I’m in Paris, my friends and I know the very best place to find the most amazing macarons
We nibble them while we sip pink champagne in silly tea cups that make us giggle!
And in my other life I can eat wheat so I have lots of these (so gourmet!)
I surround myself with the most beautifully scented flowers…all year round.
and I can wear shoes like this all day and they never, ever hurt my feet!
On my birthday my husband always brings home the sweetest surprises!
(He’s a-m-a-zing)
and did I mention I love macarons…a lot?
….yet I still look like this.
I’m on the road a lot…there’s just so much to see. There’s a path in China to hike
rice paddies in Bali to explore….
the monks of Luang Probang in Laos to greet in the morning,
and a cave hotel in Turkey, to sleep in.
but always, I come back home to this…
…and this.
It’s all good.
I found this lovely diversion, on Kate’s Chronicles of a Country Girl and it originated with Karen at This Old House where there are other links to other big dreamers to browse through. I thought I’d let myself dream REALLY BIG, and it was a lot of fun…like a virtual vision board! Pinterest is a great place to encourage your dreams to flow!
Dream big dear friends!
I love this Kate! At first, I thought wow, this woman is amazing and then as I started reading and looking at the beautiful photos I began to realize you were spoofing. However, I still think you're amazing to put this together and make it all flow so beautifully. Thanks for the link to Chronicle of a Country Girl, which is where I'm headed right now. Lovely post! How creative!

I had the same reaction as Chris, kate. I thought "Wow, I didn't know she had a home in Hawaii too!" but then I realized it at the home in France :) I have to say that I love your dream. I was going to write that it's my dream too; then realized that I would never dream so big. Which is sad because it doesn't hurt to dream big, to imagine fun and pleasure and beauty and other good things far beyond what we have. In fact, it's great to do.
This is a beautiful post, kate! I am going to do this too right now, but in my journal, so that I can see what I would REALLY pick if I allowed myself to dream BIG! xoO

Hey Kate, what an awesome trip to your big dream places!
Some of the most gorgeous photos I've ever seen. My mouth is watering from the macaroons ... it all made me swoon.
You put this together in such a wonderful way!

I would love to be traveling with you! I definitely want to go to Italy...and eat some of the macaroons you love! This was fun...I met the challenge, too! ♥

Very nice to "meet" you through the challenge, Kate ~ wasn't it a fun experience? Sent my mind out into the stratosphere, certainly. I think we are (almost) neighbors out here in the western Pacific...I live in the San Juan Islands. It's very easy to dream of sun when having the spring we've been having...good to dream!
