It’s July! We’re half way through the year (already!)…and summer is here for those of us in the northern half of the world.
With the earth bursting in a riot of new growth, it’s a time of abundant potential. When I think about it, I realize that there are so many possiblities, so much potential, so many flowers in life that we don’t pick. That’s not necesarily a negative thing…we can’t pick every flower that blooms…but the potential is still there. There's so much potential and for most of it, we either don’t see it, ignore it or we choose to pick others blossoms.
And I’m asking myself at this mid point of the year, what blossoms am I choosing? Is my bouquet small…a single bloom…and am I looking in just one corner of the field? Can I open my arms wider and embrace a bigger bouquet? I must admit, I’m feeling drawn to choosing new blossoms, new varieties…and wandering out a little farther out in the field to see what’s there. What potentials have I been ignoring?
The poppies and daisies are in full bloom now and their cheerfulness brings me so much joy…and joy must certainly be where potential blooms! I'm reminded of this digital piece that I created several years ago.
So we meet you on the edge of this field (of potential) and we ask,
“Shall we go into the past and remember
or shall we be in the moment and explore?”
…as received through Veronica Torres
I’ve been featured this week as a guest author on Veronica Torres website…Eloheim and the Council…talking about the impact that working with Eloheim has had on my life. Hop over here if you’d care to check it out.
Thank you dear friends for stopping by and if you’re new here…take a moment to say hi…I’d love to meet you!
kate, this post really speaks to me. I have been picking the same flowers for years and not even seeing the others. Suddenly then, because of a life-changing event recently, I can see them all. Flowers everywhere. I don't know which ones to pick and I can barely take them all in. I am blinded by all of the light and all of the flowers. So I am still standing in the field...just standing here...and slowly...very slowly my eyes are adjusting and I see that it is good and safe and that the flowers are harmless...in fact, they are beautiful! That I am safe. That I can walk softly through the field and pick the ones that I want to simply because they appeal to me.
Thank you for this beautiful analogy to help me to find a way to put words to what I am experiencing! xoO

What blossoms indeed! One would think a simple choice - but it isn't, is it? Life is so surprising and complex - yet so simple too! Enjoy the remaining half of the year!

I'm shocked that July is here already too. A wonderful and thought-provoking post...indeed, which 'flowers' to choose? A beautiful art piece too.
I'm off to check out the interview ~ xo

Inspiring post Kate, I'm reading this on a stunning sunny but cold morning, we had ice on our lawn this morning. But the sky is blue and the hibiscus are flowering. Here we are half way through July already and like you I can't believe it. I remember that digital piece and it is still special.
